This is my favorite resto in town for both seafood and red meat. The seafood (esp them oysters) was fresh and really well spiced. Our waiter was super friendly, responsive and guided us towards a superb appetizer choice. Prices were high but corresponded well with the food quality and portion. Would love to come back one day when we're in town!

Charming place in the harbor of La Rochelle. Our 7:30 reservation made us the first ones there, but the place was soon full of people. We initially were seated in the outside area inside the covering, but decided to move inside as it seemed to have better ambiance. It was a good move. Our server kept us happy even though she was very busy. We had the three course menu and every dish was quite good, although once I saw the "Bao" appetizer dish that had been recommended by the server, I wished I had taken her advice and ordered it. Everyone at the surrounding tables ordered it and it looked great. My appetizer (entree) was shrimp with mayonnaise and the shrimp arrived with shells on so it was a bit too much work to shell them just to get one bite of shrimp. Fortunately they included a wet wipe for my messy fingers. My main course (plat) was scallops in red coconut curry sauce which was delicious. Hubby had the tuna tartar and reported it was pretty good, although he's had better. Dessert for us was a tarte tatin and the pear (poire) tart. Both were excellent.

Amazing place, near the Towers's by the end of the old Larochelle port. I had clams, huge portion. And the tuna tartare was also good.

One always worries, when sitting down at a restaurant right in the most touristy part of any town, that one will pay far too much and receive far too little. Not so with Iseo. The food was marvellous, the service was quick and friendly, and the price was very reasonable (15-21 euros for two courses). The view, which is right onto the fortress towers flanking the entrance to the harbour, can't be beat!
